Working On Making Something Out Of Nothing

I have come back from the crippling effect of grief. I'm pushing forward on the the very idea of a startup. The idea. We have that in place. Know that, ideas of a startup change. That is our beautiful gift. We surge forward with the idea, and it changes and grows.
I took this photo. Pretty amazing Colorado I'd say.
We are working on things that might be small. Ways to get this startup to the next milestone. It's beautiful. I'm engaging with people who can help Passdown grow. To me as a founder I'm honored by the people who have said "we want to help in this project" I feel really blessed.

It's a bunch of high school kids, and they believe.

I have chosen a traction channel that is not listed in the Traction book that is in my top ten list. (picked by you) The thing is that book has taught me something. Traction is gained by many different ways. Not just the nineteen traction channels in the book! It's any way you can get it,if you ask me.
This means you do the scary unthinkable. Get Traction no matter how.

We are doing a very old school channel, but I'm adding my twist on it, and the young high school adults are so, into it. We are using art infused with personal.

Totally happy I am, that I can give young people the opportunity to learn about startup building, as well as the gift of raising money for their summer mission trip to Japan. Yes, they will succeed at going to Japan and spreading good will, but Passdown might not succeed.
Most startups ultimate demise. Always seek to not be this.

I will be meeting with these young kids and discussing the project in a few days. To me I am so happy. They may help a startup to become immense in growth, or they will see what happens to ninety eight percent of us. Failure. No matter which way it goes, people learned something. That's important.

Grow your startup with ways that others do not. It's a crap shoot. Roll the dice and take action on things you think would not help you. Cause maybe it will.

Can't say if this will work, but be assured I will tell you about it all the way.

Keep building your startups ~ it's important

Back At Startup Building Furiously

After two unplanned sidetracks in the Passdown build, I'm back to all day and evening work. It was a pretty productive day today and I'm taking a break to write to you. Yep, writing random post on my blog actually helps me to think. Brad Feld had wrote an article and mentioned that he "wrote to think". This is very true for me also.

Earlier today, I had some funny stuff going on with the company that I get t shirts printed from. Imperfect Circle Apparel Super great people to work with and they also use sustainable and eco-friendly materials. They can print up hundreds of t shirts in a tiny office with no harsh smells at all. It's a pretty amazing way to print t shirts.

Anyway I sent an order over to them and asked if they could do it. I only need 2 t shirts. That's it. The funny part is what I wanted printed on the t shirts. Danica wrote back and said "you have everyone here LOAO!" I was so happy to hear this as I had asked another company months ago to print the same t shirt and they would not respond to my request. I have no idea why that company would not respond, all I can think is they didn't' get the joke. : - / well Imperfect Circle did.

There is nothing more in life I like doing than joking around with others and making people smile. So what's on the shirts? Well I can't tell you yet. I can tell you that I am having the shirts printed so I can send them to Gary Vaynerchuk. Yep, I have something funny to say to him. I am pretty sure he will laugh. I just wish I could put a hidden camera in the box so I could capture the look on his face, when he gets my joke.

So a great day building on the startup and making people smile and laugh. What could be better?

Luxuary Of The Day For My Startup

Typical life annoyances happened to me as I started my day. First the coffee filter got stuck and when I went into the kitchen to fetch my first cup of coffee for the day, it had been pouring out all over the counter and not into the pot. A hot disaster. I had to clean up with the desire to sip the overflow off the counter with my mouth.

Later this morning I jumped into my car with my daughter heading out to a Doctor appointment. Turned the car key and there was absolutely nothing. No sound, no engine cranking, no power! Luckily we had another vehicle we could take.

Still the funny disruptions of challenge came upon me. I had this song I was in desire of downloading cause I needed my music fix. Yep I downloaded it or so I thought, but only to the the google or microsoft program on my pc, I could not find the file anywhere on my pc to load it onto other devices. I could only listen to it on my lap or my cell. Where the hell did they put the file? I paid for it, and I wanted to put it on my mp3 player for my workouts. Hmmm, still have not found the solution to that mystery of the day.

Finally I started pounding out idea data into my startup build, and here was the luxury of the day. The creative in me, came out to put a stamp on all the annoying frustrations of the day. It turned on it's shining light of amazement to me. Fooling me, as it always fools. Feeling as if it's some other entity coming up with these ideas in me. I mean, how could it be me? It seems to amazing for me to think these creative ideas come out of me.

I will continue on until sleep must overtake my body. Listening to my new sounds, ever building for you something from the elusive entity that possess my soul to create.
